Introduction
The owner of Diverse Dinners is Viella Bardouille, who was born in London and lives in New York City. This website focuses on introducing different recipes from the world to people. It celebrates diverse cultures through food. It shows recipes from different cultures and helps spread the awareness of different cultures through food. It’s also very unique because it runs by someone who is people of color.
Problem & Goal
The logo doesn’t look like a recipe website, it looks like the logo for a travel guide website, it doesn’t have enough elements to make people relate it to a food website. It looks like a travel website logo.
Problem
Make the logo more relate to a recipe website. Make a visually diverse Instagram page to match the website theme. Design business cards and coasters for Viellla to handout. the overall goal is to draw more attentions to the website and help it to reach more audience.

In this round, I drew different patterns, shapes and ingredients that reminds me of food. I also drew many dishes and cooking utensils from different cultures. The goal is to be as diverse as possible, so I have more elements to use to build logos in the next round of design process.
Hand Drawing Ideation
To showcase a huge variety of cooking related elements. I incorporated cooking utensils and food from different cultures into my drawings.
Digital Ideation
To show the idea behind “Diverse Dinners” with a more clean logo design, I simplify the amount of the elements in each logo design.
Final Logo
This logo design combined fruits, a human face shape, a wine glass and letter “D” together. The goal is to show a person having fun at dinner. The emotion I try to show people is joyful, happy, and fulfilling.

Lato as the font for the global recipe website “Diverse Dinner” would enhance the platform by offering a modern, clean, and highly readable typography. Its contemporary aesthetic aligns
with the international appeal of the website, while its legibility enhances the user experience, allowing visitors to effortlessly navigate recipes from various cultures and regions. Overall, Lato’s design characteristics make it an ideal choice for creating a visually appealing and user-friendly interface for “Diverse Dinners.”
